Liemba has been selected for the Doc Miami International Film Festival happening Sept. 23-25, 2011!!

Liemba Screens Primetime at the CFIFF!!

Liemba will screen Friday, August 12th at 8:30 PM in the House of Providence in Vancouver, WA as part of the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival!

Ujiji Neema Choir

This performance was captured in the choir's church in Ujiji, Tanzania as part of the award winning soundtrack to the documentary.

Liemba will screen this Thursday June 23rd in the Zanzibar Grand Palace Hotel as part of the Zanzibar International Film Festival!

Columbia Gorge International Film Festival!

Liemba has been selected for the 2011 Colombia Gorge International Film Festival! CGIFF runs August 10th-14th in Vancouver, WA. screening details to follow.

Gold Medal for Liemba!

Liemba was awarded the Gold Medal for Excellence in Music for a Documentary Film at the Park City Film Music Festival!! Thanks tons to the festival's jury & organizers for this great honor.

Zanzibar International Film Festival

Liemba is heading to Africa! Liemba is an official selection of the Zanzibar International Film Festival, the largest film, music & arts festival in East Africa. ZIFF runs from June 18th - 26th.

Screening at 1pm today, May 23rd in the Egyptian Theater!

Park City Film Music Festival

Liemba is heading to Utah as part of the Park City Film Music Festival! Woo-hoo! We'll be screening Monday, May 23rd at 1pm.

Screening aboard the Lilac in NYC!

Liemba will be screening in early September aboard the Lilac, a 1933 lighthouse tender & nautical museum docked in Tribeca, NYC. We are hoping Chiwoniso Maraire, Liemba narrator, Mbira maestro & world music diva, will also be performing. Details to come.

2011 Green Mountain Film Festival Starts Tomorrow!

Liemba and Fold, Crumple, Crush; The Art of El ANastui, will screen at 6:15 on Friday at the Pavilion Auditorium in Montpelier VT!

A NYC Screening aboard the Lilac, a 1933 Steamship!

We have been invited by the Lilac Preservation Project to screen Liemba on the Lilac, a 1933 Steamship, docked in lower Manhattan. Stay tuned!

Tickets for the Green Mtn. Film Festival Screening

A note from the Green Mountain Film Festival's website about tickets for the March 18th screening of Liemba & Fold, Crumple, Crush :

"GMFF is not permitted to sell tickets on the premises at the PAVILION AUDITORIUM. Tickets for Pavilion shows (eg LIEMBA) must be purchased in advance by any of the usual means: mail-order, telephone or from the Festival Ticket Office."

Opening night at the 2011 Green Mountain Film Festival!

Liemba will screen opening night at the Green Mountain Film Festival, Friday March 18th, at 6:15 in the Pavilion Auditorium in Montpelier, Vermont! Fold, Crumple, Crush: The Art of El Anastui will be shown after Liemba.

Africa World Doc. Festival!

Liemba has been accepted at the Africa World Documentary Festival! The traveling festival will take place:
March 5th – 12th 2011 – Cave Hill, Barbados.
April 20th – 23rd, 2011 – Yaounde, Cameroon.
May 12th – 14th , 2011 – St. Louis, Missouri
