The music from Liemba's award winning soundtrack is now available for purchase! The lively & upbeat soundtrack won a Gold Medal for Excellence in Use of Music in a Documentary Film from the 2011 Park City Film Music Festival. This CD includes all the music heard in the documentary plus several additional tracks.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Chiwoniso Maraire’s death on Wednesday in Zimbabwe. Chi, Liemba’s narrator, was a rising star in Zimbabwe’s music scene. Her songs, playing and spirit were inspirational, powerful & beautiful. In the film, she captured the ship’s personality and brought its story to life with her one of a kind vocal talents.  We were enormously lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her. We will miss her and send our sincere condolences to her family and friends.
